> Support a sbaMass Runner in the 37th Annual Falmouth Road Race! - Aug. 9, 2009
INTERESTED RUNNERS: On August 9th. Team sbaMass will again be participating in the Falmouth Road Race. Once again, our wonderful runners will dedicate themselves to raising funds and creating public awareness for sbaMass. Through the efforts of the 25 member team, we expect to raise over $30,000 for the sbaMass community. We are thrilled that most of Team sbaMass will be returning this year, but we still have room for a few more interested, fun loving and dedicated runners. And there is a great after race party! > Missoula, MT -- May 7, 2009 – Climb4SpinaBifida is proud to report a successful recent summit of Mount Rainier by the Climbing 4 Spina Bifida team
Climbers Joe Lesson, Brian Janes and Gwen Hobbs spent four days on the mountain in a severe snowstorm before attempting and reaching the 14,411-feet summit April 20th. Read more here!
> PARTNERS FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES - MENTOR MATCH PROGRAM
More than 1,100,000 residents of Massachusetts have disabilities, and 70,000 of those individuals are youth ages 15 and under – individuals that will soon face major transitions with respect to continuing their education, obtaining employment, and integrating into the community.
Partner for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) has had a tremendous impact on youth with disabilities for over twenty years by connecting youth to adult role models (with and without disabilities) in one-to-one mentoring programs, peer and group mentoring programs. PYD is seeking to expand the number of mentees and mentors participating in their programs.

> Come Sailing with Us!! - Adaptive Sailing
At Piers Park Sailing Center, we have programs for people with disabilities for both adults and children ages 7-17. We have adaptive equipment which allows people with as little ability as a bicep, to sail our boats. Come enjoy the empowerment sailing can bring! Reasonable rates apply and our Youth Programs are free! Boat rides are available for groups.
